Cookie policy
This policy explains how The Exteriors Engine uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It is written in plain English.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. Some are needed for the site to work. Others help with things like advertising. We also use a small amount of similar browser storage to remember your progress through our application form.
The categories we use
- Strictly necessary. These keep the site working. They remember your application progress and your cookie choice. They cannot be switched off.
- Analytics and marketing. These power our advertising, including the Meta Pixel and related cookies. They are only set after you accept them.
The main cookies we use
- tee_apply_sid (necessary). Remembers your application progress so a half-finished form is not lost. Lasts about 90 days.
- tee_cookie_consent (necessary). Remembers your cookie choice. Lasts about 6 months.
- Meta Pixel cookies such as _fbp and similar (marketing). Set only after you accept, and used for advertising and retargeting. Last up to about 90 days.
How to control cookies
Our consent banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies, and rejecting is as easy as accepting. We use a consent tool to manage your choice and to make sure marketing cookies only load after you accept. You can also clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you block the necessary ones.
